0-24VDC PIC Power Supply circuit

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

This is a variable power supply controlled with PIC microcontroller. There is LCD display in this circuit which will show the actual value of power supply output. This power supply use push on switch to adjust the output voltage and current value.

Component List:
C1 = 2000uF per AMP, 40V (adjust capacity to power supply amps)
C2,C3,C12,C15,C18,C21 = [...]

Basic Regulated Power Supply (II)

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

The ac from the transformer secondary is rectified by a bridge rectifier D1 to D4 which may also be a block rectifier such as WO4 or even four individual diodes such as 1N4004 types. (see later re rectifier ratings).

The principal advantage of a bridge rectifier is you do not need a centre tap on [...]

5V Uninterrutible Power Supply for Sensitive Device

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

This circuit will provide electric power from a backup battery when AC power is cut, always providing a clean 5V power supply for sensitive equipment like microcontrollers and logic circuits.
The value of C1 is to be higher than 220 uF. the bigger the capacitance of this capacitor, the more power you can deliver to your [...]
